No. SolidWorks is a 3D CAD program, and AutoCAD is 2D. Two different products from two different companies.

Not at all, AutoCAD is a 2D drawing aplication, now it can do 3D but it is purly surfice modeling.  Where in Solidworks it is a 3D drawing application that uses smart surfices where you can calculate stress and weight.  When it does to doing design SolidWorks is way better than AutoCAD.  You can draw in 2D with solidworks but it's a bit different.

basically yes, they help you to create technical drawings

but in my experience, autocad provides better accuracy

no ..acd powerful in 2d (drafting software),not good in 3d whereas in solid works 3d based software we can convert 3d model to 2d format and can be model can save as in diff. format (.stp,.iges..stl etc)..
