Is someone as productive after 12 hours of work as one who has only worked 8? When does productivity drop?

Assuming the person is not on drugs and is just an ordinary person in the work place - of course not.  People need a certain amount of rest and recreation in their lives to bee fully functional and therefore, fully productive at work.  If a person is not getting what they need to recharge properly then it's unrealistic to expect the same quality output as you would from a person who was getting enough of a life.  12 hours of work does not leave enough time for rest and recreation.

That is a personal variable. It differs among individuals. I know a lot of people whose productivity declines rapidly about a minute after they start working.
