  1. No. In Germany noone born of non-german citizen is automatically a german citizen.

    Especially in 1969 it was very restricted and is still now to a point.

    I was born in 1971 of a father with no citizenship (long story) and a german mother and I didn't automatically get German citizenship! My mother had to fight for it and just before that a law was passed which made it possible for me to get it rather quickly - especially after my mother put me (about a year old then, with very blond hair) on the counter at the city office and yelled that even in n**i Germany there wouldn't have been a doubt of me being german! ;-) She was a great woman.


  2. I think so but consult with german embassy with proof of birth in germany.

  3. the law changed on first january 2000. There were twins born to Turkish parents. One was born just before midnight and was classed as Turkish. The other was born just after midnight and he was classed as German.
