  1. hahahaaha u or ur neighboors have probly been letting your cat out and its instincs took over and hunted some birds but they usually prefer the food they already have and just cought it to play with it

usualy if someone is doing that its for fun and nothing more but there is some people who use dead birds for wichcraft

  2. is there hawks around?

  3. By what you are saying there  is a Predator in you area .Hawks tend to tear open the prey but will eat all of it unless disturbed and it seems your has been disturbed.

Cats will also eat all the remains or hide them,

So I believe you have a Hawk in the area.

  4. It is baby bird season for wild birds . Something probably killed their mom like a cat.  Her five babies got hungry when she did not come and jumped out looking for her.  They can look almost the same size as the adult bird, but their tails are a little shorter.  The one by your front door was too young to be afraid of you and was just looking for someone to help it survive.  When you see injured wildlife you should contact a wildlife rehabilitation organization for help.  I can't understand why you would throw things at it.  Do you lack the ability to feel compassion towards a living feeling creature.  It is sad ....

  5. sounds like a bad omen. it may be that some one is out to get you or you really attract sick/mutilated birds.

  6. It is probably the result of a cat catching or killing the birds, or perhaps they see the reflection of the sky in a window, and the cat finds them while they are lying stunned on the ground. Cats don't always hide their food, in fact back when I lived on a farm I often found whole rodents just lying around, either on the porch or in the yard. Although cats can be very strange when it comes to eating their prey; once for about a week I kept finding mice that were intact except that the head was missing, and once I even found a pair of lungs and a couple other internal organs, which were lying on the lawn, perfectly intact but with no sign of the body they must have come out of.

If you find any other signs that something is amiss, by which I mean something that does not involve small dead animals, you can always call in and report it to your local police department.

Either way, in the future, don't scream and throw things at birds. Being near a bird for the few seconds it takes to get inside your house will not kill you.

  7. There's a few things that may be happening here:

    1. Obviously these birds were acting out-of-the-ordinary, so they might have been infected with something. Check out the symptoms of avian flu and see if they match up.

    http://www.cdc.gov/flu/avian/gen-info/fa...

    2. If you or one of your neighbors have a house cat, this is a way they show that they're "providing" for their family, and is perfectly natural, though a little icky. The guts and feathers on your lawn would most likely be caused by a cat or dog, not a person.

    3. The last possibility (or the last one I can think of) would be that birds aren't real great with their depth perception, so they often run into glass windows and kill themselves. If they're older birds they could run into solid things in their senility.

  8. Well if  you believe in witchcraft someone might be doing this otherwise its best to take the logical road which is it might be something in the environment that making them sick maybe something on your lawn or maybe in the air, but if that's not it then you can assume the other

  9. It's quite possible the birds in your neighborhood have the West Nile Virus. Or it's wing was broken somehow, and it died.
