is something the matter with me? It's the food that is the biggest problem. I can't stop eating, and whilst i don't feel hungry, i never really feel satisfied and full up so i just keep eating. I also feel very energyless and sluggish very often, and generally get a headache everyday.

Why is this? I don't get it. I never used to be like this.

Hope you can shed some light on why i am feeling this way.

Thanking you in anticipation

Gertrude

  1. Are you under a lot of stress? People don't realize how sick stress can make you.

Also has your thyroid function been checked? I think a good checkup at the doctor is in order and if you can't go to the doctor try reducing your stress, when you are hungry grab a bottle of water or go for a walk to get away from the food. Eat things that are low in calories and fill you up. Get rid of the junk in the house and replace with fresh items- fresh and frozen veggies and fruits, lean meats.

  2. your sluggish and feel crappy because you are eating too much. do you lay down often, this give me a headace every time. you need to get yourself a hobby, you sound bored to death!!! LOL. I eat like crazy when i am bored too, so if I feel it coming on, i will go outside for a walk or take out my scetch pad. you may aslo be depressed, you should explain your symtoms to your dr.

  3. Don't know about the food bit, maybe it's just boredom, but the tiredness and headaches could be a result of dehydration. You should drink at least 2 litres of water a day. Maybe that will fill your stomach and make you less hungry?

Another thing to try is to chew your food well and eat slowly - I have heard that it takes 20 minutes to register that you have had a meal, so if you eat slowly you feel full sooner. Haven't tried it though - I'm always in a hurry!

  4. I don't want to alarm you, but er, you know, non-stop hunger, tiredness and headaches are all part of the list of signs of pregnancy.

  5. Iron deficency test: Go to the mirror and pull your lower eyelid and see if the color is red or flesh color. If its flesh colored you are lacking enough iron and should take a herbal iron like Floradix. It will take a month to see a difference. Iron carrys oxygen in your blood and if you dont have it you will feel tired, cold hands and feet, headaches, RLS, dull brittle hair, brittle nails, poor sleep, pale skin (see thru), shortness of breath, fatigue, poor concentration, low mood, ringing in the ears, irregular heart beats, cracks in the corner of the mouth, dizziness, fainting, sore tongue and canker sores. Add b12 and folic acid for best results

Then look at this site and read about magnesium so you can see for yourself.

  6. Gertrude,

I have been feeling like this again.  The only thing I can think of is that it has to do to lack of sleep and poor diet.  I used to be more active and ate very well through weight watchers the last three years and I never felt better.  I was eating healthy and exercising regularly.  However over the last year I got cocky when my weight loss was good and I was at my ideal weight.  And that's when I quit caring.  And now here I am again, starting to gain it all back, and I am now over my ideal weight.  I am feeling more tired and hugry than ever and yes, I have headaches regularly.  I am packing my body full of unhealthy foods that only curb my appetite for a short while and then I feel like I am starving just an hour or two later.  I have learned through WW that this is not healthy and often leads to headaches, and loss of energy.

I actually signed up for WW etools last night.  I am ready to make that change again.  Once your diet and exercise are on track you'll feel better I can almost guarantee it.

Please know however that of course that I am not a doctor and I do not take place of the adivice of your physician.  This is just what I believe it to be and is just an opinion.  Thank you, and best wishes!  Angela

  7. Any way you could be pregnant because this is exactly how I felt in my first trimesters...

Otherwise you may have a vitamin deficiency so go get some vitamins and if this doesnt help go see your doctor.

  8. I feel for you...I just basically asked the same question lol.
