Is something wrong with me mentally?

I'm a 16 years old girl, I'm about 5'1 & 90 lbs.

I've been 90 lbs for a long time & I've always been comfortable with myself.

But lately, I FEEL like I've put on at least 20 lbs and I feel so insecure about myself now.

But when I weigh myself, I'm either still 90 lbs or I lost 1 or 2 lbs.

My weight would bounce up & down, but it's never over 90 lbs.

I wanna know why I feel the way I do.

Is something wrong with me mentally?

  1. nothing is wrong is just your a teenager...try to eat a hambuger once in the while at leat gain 10 pounds more

  3. You could definitely afford to put on a few more pounds.

    If the scales are telling you that you're still 90 lbs, then it has to be something to do with your mental self.

    And you've got to ask yourself why you've been feeling this way. Might it be that you've been comparing yourself to friends around you who have skinnier bodies? Have u been reading too many fashion mags lately? Have u been stuffing yourself with unhealthy foods which you normally wouldn't have?


  4. yes, you're a teenager, all teenagers have insecurities. It's not that abnormal and you'll probably grow out of it.

    If you don't grow out of it and it really starts to affect your life ie anxiety or eating disorders then its worth seeing a professional.

  5. This is a case of aneroxia. To be honest there is something wrong with you mentally, however it can be fixed, and its not your fault.

    I would recommend you try to increase your weight above one hundred.

    Go to a gym near you and work out, no cardio like running and biking, but work on your mucles.

    Also do you eat often and reguarly or do you skip meals?

    Eat alot but not junk food that will just get you fat, but food high in protein, and carbs

    your goal weight should be 110 to 120 pounds.
