I have a 50 cc scooter that i got a couple days ago. It's brand new and came from a very reliable company. I've gone about 75-80 miles on it and i've had to fill it up twice already. Would it be because every time i drive it i have for max it out on speed or because i start it and shut it off periodically? Anything will help.

Please and Thank Yous!

  1. SELL UR SCOOTER OR GO CONSUMER CELL

  2. The riding it with the throttle wide open will lower MPG. As you break in the engine, the mileage may improve a bit. The other factor that may affect the number of times you fill up is the size of the gas tank. According to the pump, how many gallons have you added?  You may want to contact your dealer, they might have better suggestions.

(Keep in mind that a lot of manufacturers get their quoted MPG based on a bike traveling at a set moderate speed- traffic, hills, rider weight etc, aren't accounted for.

  3. turn the fuel off when you are parked ,its probably flooding
