  1. No.  Although they keep it in the dairy case, dairy means it comes from cows or other lactating mammals.  Milk, cheese, yoghurt, etc.  And no eggs are not dairy either: eggs come from chickens not cows.  You won't find any soy bearing cows on a dairy farm.


  2. No, soy comes from soy beans. So it is considered a plant/legume.

    On a side note, it's one of the only plants that provides all the complete amino acids you need for your diet. (The other is quinoa)


  3. NO. And it's not milk, either.
