Is soy tofu? is tofu soy?

what is the differance between tofu and soy? i get some fake meat that says veggie beef and veggie turky that says its soy, but then then theres tofu stuff that dosent resemble anything like tofu 2go, and tofu snack kits. is there a differance?

All these products tofu, soy milk, immitation meats are all made from soy beans. Soy beans are the main ingredient, they have simply been proccessed into different products.

Tofu is to soy milk as cheese is to real milk. It's made by adding  a coagulant which can be any of several chemicals,most commonly calcium sulfate or magnesium chloride. (Other things are sometimes used.)

Just as there are hundreds of varieties of cheeses,  there are hundreds of varieties of tofus. However, the flavor is almost always very bland unless other flavorings are added.

Tofu is a product made from soymilk which is made from the soy(bean). It is soybean curd. Tofu can be made itnto anything almost and does not taste or look like tofu, such as desserts, tofu scramble, meat alternatives, etc.

Soy is a legume (a bean.)  Tofu is one food made from soy.  It's very versatile and can be eaten in a lots of forms, tofu is just one of them.
