  1. Dimensions.  Once a unified field theory is secured, we can start exploring the different dimensions.

  2. As much as I love space, I would have to say the oceans.

I've heard it said many times and I'm sure its true, "We know more about the surface of the moon than we do about the depths of the Earth's oceans."

  3. Other dimensions. the superstring theory suggests there could be up to 26 dimensions, maybe lots more.

Imagine a line, move 2 more lines at 90 degrees, you've got a square.

go to 3 dimensions, you've got a cube, go to 4 dimensions you've got what is called a tessaract. And so on.

We might never be able to get to these other dimensions, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

  4. The mind.

There is so much yet to be discovered. In that way, neurology is much like astrophysics and astronomy.

  5. Time and dimensional travel.

  6. We don't really know yet! My guess is that we probably will discover more things to explore beyond the space of our universe. For one thing, due to the finite size and age of our own universe it is fairly likely that other universes do exist, and depending on the nature of the barrier between them and our own universe it may be possible to reach them through some technological means. This may constitute a frontier considerably larger than, and different from, the frontier of exploration into space in our own universe; the fields of knowledge applied would probably not be astronomy and engineering so much as mathematics and computer science. In addition, by the time we achieve this we probably will have modified ourselves into hyperadvanced intelligent machines that will think in different ways from ours, which would be another difference in the nature of such exploration.
