Is spaetzels same with what we call "palitaw" in philippines?

  1. It's similar in that it is a boiled dough.  But palitaw is a sweet desert, isn't it?  Made with rice flour and cocoanut and sugar?  There might be different kinds of palitaw, but that's the kind I know.

    Spatzel is more like a noodle.  It's made from a very loose dough, almost a batter.  You drop strings of it in boiling water and they firm up, and you serve them as a side dish with a little butter on them.
