Is sparkling (carbonated) water bad for you?

A friend of mine gave me a pack of carbonated water. And I like it, but is it like soda? Is it worse for you than normal water? It says "naturally Flavored Sparkling Water Beverage" Is has no calories, no sodium, no sugars, and no caffeine. I have read that is bad for you, but I have also read that it is not. Thanks in advance :]

  1. I believe carbonated drinks make it difficult for your body to absorb calcium other than that I don't think it is bad for you.

A real answer to your question.

  3. Sparkling water is great for you. It's just like water with bubbles! Soda is a whole bunch of c**p thrown into sparkling water. Keep on drinking! :D

  4. if it's pure water, that's fine. the carbonation won't hurt you in the slightest, it's just carbon dioxide, it's all around you.

if it's flavored, it has something in it, and if that something is artificial sugar, some people have a problem with that.

but it's not like soda, it's not bad for you. the benefits of drinking enough water outweigh the tiny risks of the natural flavors. i do wonder what they do for sweetener though.

  5. carbonated water came from geysers that naturally carbonate the water. i dont know the whole process but i've never heard about it being bad for you
