A study done a few years ago tentatively claimed that women who didn't use condoms were somewhat less depressed than women who did use condoms.  The researchers hypothesized that chemicals in s***n were perhaps natural antidepressants.  Note that this hypothesis is a long way from being proved.

On the other hand, if the s***n is disease free and one either guards against unwanted pregnancy or does activities that can't cause pregnancy, s***n itself is harmless except for the tiny handful of women who are allergic to it.
