Is spitting on people against the law in californria??

There is a 9 year old boy where we live that has been spiiting on other kids. His mother doesn't speak english so it's hard to talk to her.I want to know if it's against the law just so the police can come and scares the daylights out of him and maybe he'll stop spitting. Even though he's not my son, as a mother I've already talked to him but he doesn't seem to care.

Yes it's against the law to spit on people anywhere.  The fact he's 9 should only mean that the juvenile justice team will deal with it.  So he probably won't go to jail but he'll get dealt with.  What a little swine, call the cops for sure.  You've tried to reason, so now get the heavies in to deal with it.

His mother will understand if she wants to. You need to go over to the house when the boy is home and speak with him and his mom together. I'm sure she knows it, she most likely doesn't know what to do about it. I know that sounds silly but it's true. Some people that have a language barrier, don't know how to discipline their kids sometimes. All you have to do is act it out in front of her...she'll know what you are talking about!

In this era of HIV and other communicable diseases, you might have a case, but surely there is a better way to deal with the situation than that. The police really have better things to do than scare little boys.

hiiii when they are over 18 yes its is illegal but there is not much that you can do about someone who is 9.

it is against the law, he could be pressed charges on well atleast his parents and the police thing will work

Yes, it is against the law almost everywhere.

It could loosely be refered to as assault.
