Hi,

I am currently in grade XII in India.I have taken up Physics Chemistry and Maths as the main subjects.I plan to do my computer engineering from abroad(not in India)

But i have one big problem, I do not like sports and am scared of them.So just wanted to know whether sports is mandatory in the engineering universities outside India or could one do without them.?? COuld you also suggest some universities where i could apply?Do I need to appear for SAT exam ? Which subjects should I give the SAT exam for ?

An immediate reply would be appreciated.I know that my question is too silly, but would really appreciate if someone could help me out. I am really scared taking admission abroad due to the sports factor.

I plan to take admission in 2009, as i would be giving my CBSE Boards in 2009 march.I have just gone to class XII.SO have one full year for preparation.

Thanking you in anticipation,

reddevil !

  1. I never took a sports/gym class in college, and I attended one of the biggest universities in the US.

For more information about attending a US university, look here: http://www.universitylanguage.com

For more about the SAT: http://www.universitylanguage.com/guides...

    Good luck!

  2. Sports are usually not mandatory. The only reason I'm not saying never is because I don't know about military academies.

If you want to avoid the SAT, try applying to Canadian schools. Some (Toronto, Waterloo, Queens) are pretty good, and they can be a lot cheaper than US schools.
