  1. Yes, sprinting is a cardio exericse and a very excellent one at that.

This is because it's high intensity and therefore burns off more calories (i.e.more fat) in one session of exercise.

It builds up endurance and strength and really trains your heart and leg and thigh muscles.

Since it's an intense exercise, you can't workout long; a 10-15-min session 3-4 times per week is sufficient to see you through your cardio exercise need.

For a start, it's best to mix sprinting with running or jogging or walking.

You could start with say 3 mins walking; then 2 mins sprinting and then repeat.

  2. I would not consider it cardio, Jogging is cardio

Sprinting is very anaerobic, you're depriving yourself of a regular circulation of oxygen

the faster you go, the faster the exchange between c02 and o2 will be,

just jog instead, it's a little harder, but with practice you can get better

  3. Not true sprinting is much much more harder then jogging how much stamina and endurance do you think is needed to sprint for 400 meters and 200 meters? A lot and you have to be vey powerful too. Just because you dont use O2 doesnt mean it isnt cardio, means it is alatic but its stil cardio and very hard.
