  1. Since you are on the pill I'd recommend staying off SJW. From what the book says below...SJW can reduce oral contraceptive effectiveness. WHat they suggest if you do want to still use it is use a condom.

  2. Check this out - I have heard that St Johns Wort affects the pill so be careful.

  3. saint john's is safe and it helps dont worry you can take this  with the pill

  4. Its safe but you can't take it with certain medication. Just check which medication you take and see if its compatible

  5. yes st john's wort does help for depression but can not be taken with blood pressure medication, you can type in google search: "st johns wart interaction with drugs and food", that should give you some indication if you can take it safely with your pill.

Another alternative for depression is tryptophan which is a supplement, which is a pre-cursor to seratonin, which might also be an alternative to research if you are not sure, however, you can not drink any alcohol if you take tryptophan.

  6. I take it three times a day and have had no problems from it.

  7. There are no health benefits of St. John's Wort that have been proven by objective research.  If you're worried about it, then don't take it.  It won't help you anyway.  It's all a placebo, which means that if you doubt its effects it won't have any.
