Is star Trek real?

I have based 27 years of my life on star trek and some people are now telling me its all fake!? S**t

Actually the people that say its 100% fake is WRONG. 60-70% of the science on that show is correct. Look at some of there lovely gagdets they use; we actually use similar devices today. The major technology they use is still science fiction such as the transportor, war drive etc. However, they are working on the transporter its in the very early stages. There only able to transport very small things like an atom from point a to point be a couple of feet away. Holograms are actully in devolopment as well, again very early stages. I think that the only thing that really is fake on the show is the aliens and thing that. Although it would be cool to see the Klingons in real life besides guys dressing up as them.
