It can be a business, but just like any other business, you must know what you are doing, why you are doing and how to do it.  If you want to make it a business you must know the rules and regulations governing the business and the markets control the products.

There is is a lot more to trading than just simply buying and selling.  Unless you know the rules and the various products in the market place in will never be a successful trader and thus your business will not survive.
