Question:

Is stomach grumbling ACTUALLY to do with hunger?

My stomach is always making noises, even if I've just had lunch. I assume there's probably a whole range of reasons, but is hunger even relevant, or it that just an old wives' tale?

  1. it could possibly be the air in your stomach (the "rumbling" stomach)  it more pronounce when you are hungry because the air is being moved around as opposed to food.  it could also be stomach contractions, which are a part of digestion.

  2. It's just digesting the food you ate earlier. Or now.
