  1. Your hair is constantly growing but when you straighten it, it breaks the ends off and it doesnt grow as long as it could because of it. I would say get a trim and take some natural supplements to help it grow. I just got some Biotin and I'm trying it out. You can keep straightening it but put something on your hair before you straighten it EVERYTIME you straighten it. Like heat protector.

  2. I would think so because the straightening is damage from the heat Tresemme;  heat thermal creations Heat Tamer Spray

To help it grow use Garnier Fructis Length & Strength, it heals & strengthens the hair to assist in growth. It really works too. I use it & so does my sister.

Garnier Fructis sells many other very useful products that all work well.

  3. it could.

the heat of the straightener kills the ends of your hair, and as you probalby know hair doenst grow that well when the ends are split and dead.

  4. I also straighten my hair often.

Straightening causes split ends which will make your hair look unhealthy after awhile.

You will want to get rid of those split ends by getting a trim every 6 weeks or so and well that isn't going to help your growing out situation.

What I did was learn to work with my natural hair (wavey).

It is so much healthier to not use heat at all, but once you get to your desired length you can use heat more frequently.

    =]

  5. Not at all.

  6. i don't really think so, because constantly straightening your hair ruins it, so i wouldn't suggest always doing that. =)

  7. no it dont effect the growth of your hair you need to use some hair heat stuff to protect your hair from the heat cause if you dont it will fry your hair

  8. Yeah, same i straightenmy hair a WHOLE LOT and im trying to grow it out. Its going to be a little tougher because of the damage and the split ends. The best product that is cheap and AMAZING to get rid of breakage and it does help your hair growth is Aphogee two step treatment. It's this protien treatment that TOTALLY works. You just have to use a deep condiotner (thats the second step) after it or your hair will be brittle. You have to be real acreful of it or you will damage your hair more. You can get this at folica.com  Also, try a supplment like a vitamin that is specifically for hair growth, it will help more!

  9. not sure i wouldn't think so but i do know a girl who straightens her hair like, every day and it barely grows but i think thats just her hair, i don't think straightening her hair was the cause of it...

to tell the truth i wouldn't know but i don't think it affects the growth.

  10. yes it will because it can kill and break the ends i also had that problem because i use to straighten my hair every day but eventually my hair got lik fried so i got the ends cut off and now I'm cutting back on straighting it and im gonna grow it out healthy beacause it wil grow ALOT faster=] hope i helped

  11. Yes. When you straighten your hair you break off ends of your hair that are weak so it will take linger to grow long.

  12. Not at the roots, but at the ends be careful!
