  1. No study is not free in any country for a foreign student.Actually the reasion is that they are studing through contract base and its mean to study you should to pay.


  2. In Italy schooling is considered a right, and according to the law, foreign (even from outside the EU) and Italian students are equal; you have to pay tuition fees that vary according to the University but generally are between 800 and 2000 €uro per year.

    Facilitation and partial exemption are available according to financial condition of the student (that apart from Study Scholarships).

    For senior high school tuition fees are near 80-100 €, while elementary and  junior high school are free; but families have to buy what is called "corredo scolastico", main expenditure is for books; still, exemption is available.
