Is summer sausage cooked?

we just bought some from Harry and David, and I wasn't sure if it was cooked, the package said it was, any clues?

It is smoked which means it is cooked.  Smoking it is a form of cooking.  Think of smoked salmon....it isn't cooked but the smoking cooks it.

You do not have to cook this sausage,you may eat it as it is,but once opened,it should be refrigerated. My brother likes all meat served warm so I have put this in the microwave just to heat it slightly.Enjoy!!

you can do it both way cook it or not cook it.

In order to smoke them... it is in the ovens at 185ºf like 12 - 20 hours ,,....?????
