  3. depends what kind of waves you like

  4. It depends on what types of waves you prefer.  Huntington and surrounding beaches have generally short, abrupt, plunging type waves whereas, San Clemente is known for the long rolling walls of the various points in San Onofre State Park.  Both places have decent waves for surfing, they are just different types of waves.

  5. what you can't decide where to live? On any given day, both have great surf... but to ask without any precedence is a kind of a waste of time. Though closer to HB is a multitude of different bottoms that hold different swells and directions and I like the inside section at 16th street in H B too.... so, I think you have to ask not only is the surf better in H B more often but too there is a million things to do? like go out to eat, places to rage and drink at, lots of theaters and live bands, and great skateboarding near by and not so in San Clemente
