  1. Halal, i.e. permissible. Let not man dictate what you may eat. It is what comes out of you - your words and actions - that defile or honour you. What you eat will not make you unclean. It might give you food-poisoning, but, spiritually it is the heart and not the stomach that God/Allah looks at. All things are made by Him, so do not call anything unclean, for what comes from Him cannot be so. He who calls the gift unclean insults the giver.

  2. All sea-animals are Haram except for fish. It will be permitted to eat a fish even without slaughtering it according to the rules of Shariah. However, a fish that dies naturally without an external cause and begins to float on the surface of the water (Samak al-Tafi) is also considered Haram.

So you can eat fish. But not all forms of sushi contain raw fish.

Many sushi rolls contain rice, cooked fish and vegetables.

If you're still in doubt you could eat pure vegetable sushi instead, which consists of rice, and vegetables only.

    Both are very tasty.

I couldn't tell you what raw fish tastes like because I have never eaten it.

    Hope this helps.

  3. You could eat tempura rolls, or smoked salmon sushi, or california rolls (these are usually made with imitation crab, so it's not like you're eating seafood at all!).

  4. Not all sushi is raw.

Halal only relates to meat anyway.

    Please don't sh*t stir.
