  1. noooo, my friend, most sushi do not contain meat at all. dolphins and whales would be considered meat, right? plus that would add tons of fat into the sushi, which is supposed to be low in fat and very light. just because notorious japanese people hunt these animals doesnt mean they prepare it with traditional food.

  2. not around here

    BOTH are mammals..

    BUT

  3. The basic idea behind the preparation of sushi, a well-known Japanese dish, is the practice of preserving fish with salt and fermenting with rice, a process that can probably be traced back to seafood-preserving methods used in China and South-East Asia, where countries have a long history of rice cultivation.

I don't think it's usually made of either.

  4. tuna and salmon are the common fishes used in sushi, the blue marlin can also be used, i tasted it as a sashimi and the taste for me is more delicious than tuna.

  5. Ya, the traditional way to make it is with raw fish. But as you can see humans always change the ingredients to their liking. So, you can make it out of dolphin or whale meat

  6. no

  7. Anmol,

I have never seen sushi with from either.  However, sushi can be made with salmon, red, fatty or white tuna, yellow tail, mackerel, octopus, fresh water or sea eel, sea urchin, squid, fish eggs  or salmon roe and quail egg, just to name a few varieties.

  8. No not traditionally..... its not to say it can't be done though

  9. Since there are various kinds of sushi as well as lots of different sushi chefs in the world.

Not all sushi has rice in it.

But in regards to your question,... Basically anything that is considered to be edible to the human palate can go into the making of sushi.

The limit is you own imagination & your senses of taste.

There are some things that should not be made into sushi, that to some people is utterly revolting. But people are people, there is such diversity in the world. What may gross out one person is a delicasie to someone else.

I grew up in Honolulu, and I've seen some pretty exotic sushi & choked down a few really nasty ones too.  Sake or a good dry beer chaser is a lot of help in some circumstances.

    cheers babe!!

  10. Sushi can be made of any fish nowadays. It depends on what you want. Most common is tuna and artificial crab meat (like the ones you get at a supermarket). I have also had the chef put scrambled egg rolls (ie like sushi but with cooked egg), in the combo sushi orders. Other common seafood used are seared tuna, salmon, eel, and white tuna.

  11. I am knowledgeable of sushi, since I eat Chinese food (reduced fat) very much. Traditionally, they use the meat of salmon fish.
