  2. If you work hard on butterfly you will get awesome abs and stomach        I did swim team for 1 summer and I got  a tight stomach

  3. It's a good exercise for basically every muscle in your body. To really work on those abs, stick to butterfly.

  4. Swimming is a great sport. You use almost all your muscle groups swimming the various strokes. Your core muscles, abs and lowerback, are some of the muscles that build due to swimming, if you swim with correct form.  If you are looking to build these muscles swimming, i reccomend doing butterfly or high rotation freestyle.

    some drills you could do are.

    archer

    dolphin kick on back

    three breastroke, three fly alternating

    and other high rotation/solid position kicking freestyle and any fly drill.

  6. yes it is pretty good its more work on your arms and legs but if you do butterfly and backstroke it will work ur abs more.

  7. yes!! it's great because it works all of your abdominal muscles. butterfly works the rectus abdominis much like crunches do, but more efficiently and while burning more calories. freestyle and backstroke also work the obliques if you're rotating properly with your stroke.
