Is sydney a good place for shopping?

I live in Liverpool, England and i am going on holiday to Australia in november. I will be in sydney for about 1 of the 2 weeks and was wondering if it is a good place to do some shopping for clothes?

Is it cheap and what type of clothes do they sell. Is it anything like the clothes in new york.

Also what else is good to buy there?

You will find the clothing here is quite different to USA or even the UK. Not in a negative way though. It's just different styles.

Sydney is a great place to shop. There are lots of large shopping centres (Westfield and Centro are the largest shopping centre brands). If you like to shop for clothes, head out west to Parramatta or Burwood.

Hurstville in Southern Sydney also have plenty of clothing stores.

Or you can visit DFO in Homebush - they have major brands at lower prices.
