Is taekwondo aerobic or cardio?

Im wondering if taekwondo is aerboic if you keep kicking and hitting.

  1. Its very Simple it is both frist Aerobic you are Jumping moving in the warmup . Cardio is the length of the class you work each part of the body keeping you heart rate up . Plus if you are in the upper levels of the Martial art free sparring is a great work out

  2. Aerobic is a subset of cardio. Depending on how long you train, it can stress aerobic and anaerobic energy pathways differently.

    For example, rounds on a heavy bag tend to work the anaerobic pathways. If you do it long enough, you get an aerobic benefit but primarily it is anaerobic.
