Is taking 5 AP courses in my senior year ridiculous?

I'm planning to take:

AP Biology

AP Chemistry

AP BC Calculus

AP Latin

and am considering taking AP English instead of Honors Humanities. (Our school allows us to take 7 classes; I'm taking a music course in addition, so that would be 6 and I would have a study hall left)

  1. Yes. Unless you want college credit, senior grades don't really matter. I would say no if it was a sophmore of junior, but your a senior and should be having fun instead of spending the end of your year worying about too many things.

  2. no it is not ridiculous. at my school, the compettion is harsh. since 10th graders are allowed to take 2 aps. many take two and take 6 or 7 in Ap in junior and senior years.  and it wont be bad. if you take at least 16 ap classes and get all As that would only put you in the top 5 % not valvectorian. My public school is really competitive

  3. um it's not ridiculous

and had A+ in all classes ended up w/ gpa of 3.69 weighted

they survived and i've some friends who are gonna be doing tht next year
