Is taking Multivitamins bad? from A to Z?

it says you can take from 2 to 3 a day, i take one multivitamin and one vitamin E a day, i mean it can't be bad, but i want more info on it

  1. Vitamins are not good for you.  Americans don't have vitamin deficiencies, they have WHOLE FOOD deficiencies.

    A whole food supplement is head and shoulders above any vitamin.

    There is plenty of research to back this up.


  2. No, taking vitamins is good, it replaces those things we should be eating and gives energy to the body, once a day is enough though, you can over do it.

Well the reality is that if you eat a good diet you do not need vitamins.  But that said.  I believe that most people do not eat a good diet.  Also it is said that there is no difference between natural and non natural vitamins.  I used to believe that but I studied more and found out it is only partially true.  Be aware that there are big differences in vitamins,  In that some are made from plant extracts oartially.  You have to take more pills but my OPINION is that it is better.  But I do have to tell you that other smart people have a different opinion.  So you can construct your own opinion on it and act accordingly.

  4. Just like with mouth things Vitamins are good as long as you dont take extreme doses on a regular bases, but once a day daily vitamins are great for your overall health. May I also recomend Flax seed oil and Fish Oil both are benificial to almost every thing in your body.

  5. studies have shown that synthetic vitamins can actually cause harm such as synthetic beta carotene and dl-alpha tocopherol.   Be sure your vitamins are from natural whole foods sources.

    The other guy "truthdoc" is a crack head!! Vitamin and mineral defeciencies are at EPIDEMIC levels in the USA!! OVER 90% of all heart attacks and srokes are linked to lack of minerals.

    But its not just my opinion. Its a proven fact about foods and soils. Just follow the instructions and get quality products. Start with calcium citrate and magnesium citrate. Get a multi with Boron, copper, and zinc......Dont forget the anti-oxies A & E

    Get a book that tells what each vitamin is good for and what form works best, etc......

    Everyone should know that refined sugar like white sugar and high fruitcose surup prevents the absorption of vitamins and minerals. And caffiene breaks down and flushes out vitamins and minerals.

  7. With the quality  food now being sold in America.  It is all but imposable to get the daily amount required to be healthy.  So we have no choice but to take a good multable.  

       The best multable with all the necessary Vitamins and minerals and enzymes is a product called "All One".  It is in powder form and all natural that can be mixed into water or a fruit drink.

       A lot of the well known brands aren't that good.  They are only well known because they are advertised all over the TV

  8. As with all the previous answers you have received taking a nutritional supplement is good for you.  The quality of our foods is just not reliable anymore due to pesticides, acid rain/pollution, factory farming, etc.

    As with what Truth said there are numerous vitamin suppliers out there some good some really bad.  Get in touch with someone knowledgable, in other words don't go to XMart looking for a cheap vitamin.
