Question:

Is tanning safe if you don't go out?

I work at night, and I am never exposed to the sun. Taking one look at me confirms this :)

I realize tanning is extremely dangerous - it can cause cancer and make you age quicker.

For a person who works at night and really never gets out in the sun, do you think it would be okay to tan once every few weeks in a tanning bed?

I realize any form of tanning is a risk, but I'm wondering if the short exposure I'd get from the bed would balance out the fact that I'm never outside during the day?

Please no rude or preachy comments. I realize tanning isn't safe, but I think my situation is a bit unique in the fact that I never seen the sun.

So really I just want to know what the risk ratio would be in my case.

Thanks.
