I take tap dancing lessons at a place called dance elite, and i am level 3 almost level 4 and there are 5 levels. Five being the best. I am really good and have been doing tap for 3 years now and i've been trying to make it a secret, but at summer school, my name was on the back of a dance recital shirt that someone else was wearing, beacuse they go to dance elite too. Someone found out and made fun of me and then the word was out! Should I sign up again to move to level four or just quit? IS TAP DANCING TOO GIRLY. i'M A GUY AND I REALLY ENJOY IT!!!!!!!!!!!1

  1. are you kidding? tap dancing is the least "girly" of all of them. and who cares what they think? be PROUD. dancing is teaching you more than you know and youll be thankful for your training in years to come.

  2. no it's not too girly! if you have fun, don't stop. next time some one makes fun of you remind them that you get to be around girls all the time in tight leotards!

  3. no it isn't too girly. and it's good for you. boys rarely do any dancing so you'll be able to look back and say i was able to dance when i was younger, what have you done? and besides, you get to be partnered with girls.  :)

  4. no! some of the best tap dancers in the world are guys. i really recommend watching so you think you can dance (go to fox.com/dance to see when it's on) and the guys on that show, both dancers and choreographers, are amazing. keep dancing, and if you're ready for more of a challenge after you complete tap 5, you can take a ballet, jazz, or hip hop class or maybe even audition for competition teams (but only if u want to!)

remember, if people make fun of you, keep your head up high and think of how you could own them in a dance off =)

    good luck!

  5. no! it is not how ppl think but it is how do u think of urself! who cares if a guy tap dancing! like me for example, i love to dance hip hop, jazz, free style, lyricle n many more! but my dad hates it! but still i have my mum! although im a teacher now but im still a dancer! sooner or later, i will show my favourite to the world! so dont give up on dancing! i will support u!(although i dont noe u but still on ur side!)
