  1. I think all dancers should start with ballet. But once you do for a while, tap is easy. I think it will be easy for you cause you've done ballet fir so long. Of the 4, the easy to hardest is:

    1. tap

    jazz

    ballet

    hip hop.

  2. i think it starts out hard because its so fast and the movements are so exact but it gets a lot easier! :)

  3. I would say ballets a lot harder idk about jazz but I'd say its easier.

    hope I helped!

  4. tap is easier

  5. i found tap alot easier than ballet.

    but thats just mi opinion.

    idk about jazz thou.

  6. As long as you've had ballet all these years, tap should be very easy.  It's hard on your feet but it's fun, like hip hop, just different moves.  Watch some old, old movies with Fred Astair and Ginger Rogers, now that's tap dancing.

    HAVE FUN!

  7. well right now tap is going to be a lot harder, but its going to be easy to grasp. i was kinda in the same situation. i mean jazz is the easiest just because its the most fun! (i cant speak for ballet simply because i hate it. but i have to take it in order to be on performance team) but tap will be frustrating because you cant do your time steps fast enough or you keep skipping sounds. but it will come along! good luck!

  8. good question

I've been dancing ballet since i was 3 and i took up jazz when I was... about... I think 7 or 8. I'm 13 now.

I took tap this past year. It was soooo much easier to me because I have been doing dance a long time. I had much control over myself then girls who haven't been dancing that long. Tap is much different from ballet and hip-hop. It is all about the feet. It is about balance and lots of ankle movement. You move your feet quickly and you have to kind of step harder than you would in ballet and hip-hop because you need to make the sound and everything. It's like hip-hop in the way that it's not close to ballet yet if you have ballet it's much easier to do it even though the moves are very different.

So if I have been dancing Jazz since I was 7 than I've been dancing it for 6 years. Jazz is most close to ballet than tap. It is faster (well that depends) and more jumpy than ballet. If you don't want to venture far from ballet I suggest you do Jazz. It may be harder than tap but since you have been dancing for so long I think you can handle it. You must be very skilled in ballet so if you took Jazz it wouldn't take you that long to catch on.

I think, since you have been taking hip-hop for a long while, you would be just fine doing either one of them. I did my tap for my first time and I was one of the excelled students and my teacher didn't even know this was my first time. I suggest that either you decide to do Jazz or Tap that you buy Bloch shoes. They are the best!

Well good luck! And don't worry. Both dances are very fun and you will have a great time. Hope this helps!

  9. Everything is a bit hard at first.

But I have a feeling thay you'll end up finding tap much easier then ballet.

    Good luck and have fun!
