  1. Coffee grounds are great in the vegetable garden, especially for high feeders like tomatoes, corn and beans.  They contain traces of nitrogen.  But if your plants are dry what they need most of all is water.

The grounds also are a great mulch, repelling slugs, some bugs and adding color to the top soil.

I dump my cold coffee or tea in my garden.  I don't dump the stuff ON the plants, but on the soil.

  2. If your plants suffered from lack of water, neither coffee or tea will help.

They both are pretty acid and are not good for some plants.  The grounds or used leaves can be used as a mulch or, better yet, composted.  But don't pour coffee or tea on your plants.

  3. coffee grounds work great, I place all of our grounds filter & all on my tomato plants, tea grounds do the same thing so it doesn't matter which one u use

  4. Neither provide any nutrients to plants, they're equally useful as a mulch to keep the soil moist.

Apply peat, manure or compost when the ground's damp after rain, but water with a seaweed based fertilizer rather than just used tea or coffee.
