Is teething ring fluid dangerous???

I just discovered that the teething ring my 6 month old was chewing on is leaking. Should I be concerned? It's not a lot of fluid but I don't know what they are made of. I tried calling Fisher Price but they are closed for the night.

  1. You should be just fine.  They are not allowed to fill those with anything toxic because plenty of babies have chewed their way through those.

It's either filled with water or saline.  Either is non-toxic

  2. no; its sterilized water; completely safe.

  3. they are made with water just in case something like this happens

  4. its only water your baby will be fine :-)

  5. It is usually distilled water inside those rings as long as it is not old and was newly bought this year. I would just relax but throw it away for sure.

Watch your child for any vomiting, fever, lethargy, or acting funny in any way.

Call poison control center for any great concern you may have or just for peace of mind. 1-800-222-1222

I would also complain to Fisher Price in the morning.
