  2. Yes....as long as you don't eat Buffalo wings after you play.  it gives you the work out you need but if you eat same fatty food you've been eating so far, it defeats the purpose

  11. Of course, after all the running. I play 2-3 hrs twice a week and after that I go to the gym and lift weights for another hour. But don't go to Burger King or McDonald's after you play tennis. Drink a lot of fluid and eat banana or apple.

    A 1/2 hr burns 60 cal if your playing doubles thats nly useing half the full court.

If you can play tennis consistently, then yes.  The problem with tennis is that you usually need a partner to play with and you may only be able to play only a few times a week, pending on your schedule.  If you want to lose weight, tennis is a great way to exercise, but it shouldn't be your only way to exercise.  Find another flexible way of exercising, like joining a gym, swimming, biking, or running (probably the best way to lose weight, if done right, and consistently).  If you get addicted to tennis and play 6 times a week like me, then yeah, tennis is a great way to have fun AND lose weight at the same time.
