  1. Hard to say.  It depends on what you mean.

Walmart are bigger then Tesco.  And Walmart own Asda.  But Asda isn't bigger then Tesco.

And if you're saying big is making more money or employing more people ?

Because I'm sure some of the big banks who work out of london make more money then tesco.

  2. yup, soon to be in the usa and france too. theyre meant to be gearing up to take over the world!!! scary stuff...

  3. No it is not their are far bigger companes it is the biggest in the sector it forms part of the FT 100 which means it is within the top 100 largest companies in the country

  4. Not directly, i think others may be larger. But on the scale of domination its up there. 87p out of every £1 earned in Inverness, Scotland, is spent in one of three Tescos to the West, South and East of the city. Ridiculous.

P.s. The only reason there isnt a 4th to the North is because there's the North Sea.

  5. no, Just the biggest in its sector. We minions will never know how big is big.

  6. Like most people have already answered, it is not the biggest. Like most people have said already, it is the biggest in its sector in the UK though compared to international giants like Walmart, it is not so big. And the reason they are increasing is because they are very good at what they do. If they weren´t so good, nobody would bad stuff from them. And though people complain about how much Tesco make, how many stores they have, etc. the fact is we still continue to shop there. Banks, such as HSBC for example are however significantly bigger. BP too is a massive massive company that makes more profit than Tesco.

Tesco must however be getting closer to the biggest company, if you just look at how much land space they use.
