Ola!

I saved around 7000 euros and i would like to spend 4 month in Australia and 2 month in South east asie.

Do you think is that enough money (for accomodations+ buses/trains and food) ?

  1. I think you should double that amount, or half the time and you would still be looking for the cheapest accommodation.


  2. With some difficulty. It depends on :

    Where you wish to stay, what you want to eat and how much travel you want to do.

    Whether you have your air fares paid for already (to "asie" Usually known as Asia.)

    Considering 1 euro = about $2, you would have $14000 and 6 months = aprox 26 weeks, you would have about $540 per week.

    To stay in a fair quality hotel or motel would cost $80 per day that is $560 per week. Stay at a hostel and the price falls.

    Eat McDonalds (not cheep food) would cost you $15 per day, at least. That would be $105 per week. You can save by making your own or getting food other than Maccas.

    You figure it out for your self.
