  1. No, hamsters are sensitive.

  2. As long as you don't put it in their cage, it should be fine. I keep an air freshener near my hamster cage, so as long as the fumes aren't strong, then it should be fine. Watch your hamster's behavior in case, if it seems irritated, then get rid of the air freshener.

  3. I don't know which freshener you are talking about. For dogs they have three types of fresheners - mouth freshener, skin deodoriser and freshener (like perfume) and air freshener to remove dog smells from home. If you are talking about the first two, NEVER use it for hamsters. If you are talking about air freshener, don't use it in the cage or near the cage of the hamster. You can use the solid cake freshener (available at PETCO) for placing in a corner of your home to remove the smell of pets.

  4. maybe, maybe not.

i wouldn't trust it. it may be safe for dogs, but they may not have tested it on smaller rodents, so, my suggestion, don't try.

    it may cause respiratory problems.
