  1. Assuming that's a monthly salary and after tax it is pretty good. If it's before tax then it isn't great as Danish taxes will take almost half of that amount away.

As far as where to live, it doesn't matter too much as you can get anywhere, quickly in Copenhagen easily on a bike. Vesterbro, City Center, Frederiksberg, Norrebro, and others are all good.

  2. I don't know whether the salary is enough for your type of job - maybe it should be a bit higher if it takes a lot of expertise to do it, although when you are only 25, I would say 'well done!' to get a job like that. But it is definitely enough to live here - unless of course you are planning to rent a suite at a down town posh hotel :0)

As for neighbourhoods I would choose either Frederiksberg, Vesterbro or Nørrebro where there are lots of people your age and where there is a lot going on (bars, cafes, shops etc.). Valby is not nearly as central.

  3. I'm not really sure, but you can try checking the average salaries for your job category in this site:

  4. Tax will be 38% I think, although, if you are only stay 3 years I think you can apply for a reduced sort of tax scheme.  Me and my husband live on less then that but we had really cheap rent.  Keep in mind that rent is high, you may be looking at aroung 2000US a month plus utilities unless you find a home share situation.  I would encourage you to look for places on Vesterbro and in the Center.  I think the area around Christania would be fun too, and it is very nice.

Definitely buy a bike there.  This would be your main mode of transportation and save you money.  Things are expensive in Copenhagen but life is not.  You can email me if you have more specific questions.

  5. hopefully that is monthly since you are making about $7800 dollars American.

    If its monthly then yes!

if its yearly then absolutely not
