Question:

Is that any firework during Queen Days?

Hi,

As i know 30 of April is Netherlands Queen Days, but i just wonder is that a firework display during that night or the night before? If yes may i know where is the location that i can see the firework? Do you guys any any picture on the firework? Is that a grand firework or just normal only?

  1. There are not normally fireworks, at least in the bigger cities anyway.  

    Fireworks are only sold in the Netherlands in the period leading up to New Years Eve, and are not available (at least the legal versions anyway) during the rest of the year for the general public to buy

    As for large organised displays, I have never really seen this. Queens Day (Eve) is more about a celebration of people by meeting up, for those like like to, drinks with friends, and just a lot of fun.... but not really organised fun like other countries have e.g. in the US or in the UK for some specific celebratory days in the year

    However, I may stand corrected as I have not spent Queens Day outside of the North of the Netherlands.


  2. Queens Day related fireworks can usually be seen in different cities throughout the Netherlands. However, I don't  think there is a specific grand firework display in lets say, Utrecht or Amsterdam. See source for this years fireworks in Veenendaal.
