Is that best selection: a formerly impeached US judge as a leader of international observers for elections?

Mr. Alcee Hastings was appointed to lead observers group during presidential elections in Georgia (independent country, not US state).

Wikipedia: He is only the 6th federal judge to be impeached and removed from office in American history.

Believe it or not, Nancy Pelosi wanted to make hastings, the chairmen of the house judiciary committee.

Why he is even allowed to be on the judiciary committee, is beyond me.

They cannot even blame his impeachment on republicans, since a democratic majority congress, impeached him.

An impeached judge has no moral authority to be a leader of international observers for elections.  People will have suspicion on her character due to her past record.
