  1. i don't think so Ireland usually raise there game for the big teams!  I bet you will see a different performance against France and Argentina!  The good old Irish spirit will shine through!  I think we will beat both France and Argentina!

  2. im afraid so unfortunatley, i really like ireland me being a fellow celt. just cant see them beating france or argentina, brian o'driscoll needs to start playing that will inspire rest of the team , good luck tho.

  3. Well it will be if they don't up their game 100% by the time they play France and Argentina!

They were dreadful against the minnows of the group and lucky to win against Georgia!

  4. I fear so. 2 great quotes from George Hook this morning:

"At this stage Ireland would be better off decamping in Lourdes rather than heading to Paris" followed by

"If Eddie O Sullivan had have been in charge of the troops in the trenches in World War 1, casualties would have been even higher, sending wave after wave of soldiers straight into the waiting machine guns"

  5. I think we're finished but that's no bad thing. The coach needed to prepare a decent squad of about twenty but he's kept to the same 15 for about 4 years. He needed to get others match practise. Everyone knows how we play.

And as for 'raising our game against the big teams' We are a big team.

  6. not at all, like in the Guinness adverts BELIEVE all good things come to those who wait

  7. we will be knocked out and judging by our performances we deserve it

  8. who cares? rugby is not an irish sport anyway

  9. Yes, they have even less chance than England.

  10. I am hoping not at all as i feel there is so much talent and potential in the squad that it would be a shame not to see them through

would also like to disagree with Rosie Rugby is an Irish sport which can be seen from the fact that Landsdowne road is the oldest venue for rugby in the Northern Hemisphere teams

  11. Don't be so negative!

Ireland are unbeaten at this stage and with rugby being such a gladatorial sport anything can happen if you play with pride, passion and committment.  I think Ireland will take all of those things into the next two games and still have every chance of qualifying for the next round.  The only thing they will be lacking is confidence but that can be restored with a good first 20 minutes against France.
