with IPL turning out to be a huge success, and possibly EPL starting next year.

and players finally making millions of dollars.

i have to say, Yes.

personally i think they need a world twenty20 league, where teams from australia , england , india.. should all play twenty/20 all year long with roughly around 50 games, and with a playoffs structure(best of 5 or 7) of quarter finals , semis and finals.

  1. nop international cricket will continue

  2. naah.......

i don't think all the players are playing only for money.........

for some players , ,, cricket is their passion........

and i think they are mature enough that they will not eradicate the odi's and tests from their calendar.........

afterall, test cricket is the real cricket!

  3. As it is international cricket schedule is very crowded and as such if another tournament is to be squeezed in, it will be at the expense of bilateral ties between countries and will upset ICC tour schedules..

  4. i don think dat will work, i think we should make it IPL in club format. i feel it will be a success if more teams enter in IPL or all cricket boards merge

so its international, like everythin is under one body

  5. No sorry...

The IPL will never mean the end of International Cricket, there are too many people out there who love their Test and ODI's more than the IPl....I can honestly say i have not watched 1 match of the IPL because it dose not jingle my bells...

I am a "purist' give me the natural game of Tests and ODI's anyday.....

After a while it would be pretty boring sitting there watching batsman just 'smash' balls all over the place,i like to sit there and see the real talent come out and that's why i prefer Test matches over even ODI matches.....

  6. well, u r right, surely IPL will have its effect on ODI..However, Test matches will not have any effect....the cricket is now a game for corporate world too....& after the bhajji-sree slap show...i guess..cricket is not the game of gentleman...

  7. nahh you're talking nonsense

  8. No, I think common sense will prevail & traditional cricket will endure.
