Question:

Is that not enough valuable with a national patent to sell it? why with PCT international? I't cost money!!?

  1. Generally speaking, patents are enforceable only in the country where they are issued.  For example, your U.S. patent can be enforced in the U.S. but cannot be enforced in China.

    So if you want to enforce your patent in multiple countries, then you will likely need multiple patents.  PCT is one way to seek patent protection in multiple countries.  Among other advantages, PCT delays the expenses associated with applying for patent protection in other countries and allows the inventor more time to assess the commercial viability of his/her invention.
