yep. but i think that they are fed harmones to grow quicker.

my teacher freaked us out wen he told us that when eat the chicken then we also start to grow bigger.

Yeah it is, KFC's been around for a lot of years, and I really can't see them ruining their rep now. Now if you asked me if Churches Chicken was real, I'd probably say 'hardly' (there's barely any meat on theirs)
