  1. Experiences of my family friends well not really. It also depends on the nationality of your fiance. I am talking about Sub continental countries it is not very helpful. At the time of the interview it is upto your fiance to get things right your presence would not matter.

  2. dognhorsemom and Great Gate make astute observations.  Although what dognhorsemom says is correct, I think the more practical point is that the US citizen fiance(e) has no business being there and may well, as observed, by Great Gate, not be allowed in. I believe the London Embassy has adopted such a policy - only those who absolutely must be present for the visa interview should attend.

When I immigrated from the UK 5 1/2 years ago, the correspondence from the embassy strongly discouraged my fiancee's attendance.

  3. I just went with my girlfriend to the US embassy in Mexico City. There was a gated area with several Mexican police armed with machine guns. The line was so long it was outside the gated area and into the street. I stood there waiting with her for 45 minutes until she reached the gated area. Then only she was allowed to enter.

  4. whether it will help if your fiance goes to the embassy with you when you apply for the visa depends on the circumstances and on the whole visa case that the consular officer sees.  Good cases stand out and are very obvious from the first moment we open the folder; bad cases are very hard to help.  If it's clear from the beginning that the visa is just for immigration purposes and that the petitioner has probably been paid or coerced (by family, friends, members of the ethnic or cultural group) into filing the petition, the petitioner being there won't help get the visa issued.

  5. Its more good if your fiancee is with you so that he/she can help you some of the Questions and some details

  6. i am not sure how the interview are done , and if they have changed ? your fiance cannot be there when you are applying for a fiance visa ? since you are trying to get her entry to come to the US ,if she is there? why would you need a visa for her ? maybe i misunderstood your question ?
