Is the 15th Arrondissement a good place to stay in?

I'm staying for 4 days in a street called Rue de Vaugirard? How is it?

For a tourist it's probably cheap and nice witha good free breakfast ( my experience) BUT the train commute was a ***** at peak hours! The last few times I went I stayed in Arr 3 and would like to be able to afford Arr4-5. There is a hotel called Le Compostelle that you can search availabilities on Expedia.com about $124 a nite single . I stayed there and will again! It's FAB _ GREAT WONDERFUL LOCATION

I stayed in that area when I first arrived here a year ago and I had no problems. I travelled back and forth from the Cordon Bleu Academy nearby alone after dark. I stayed at the Holiday Inn in the area, it was very nice. It's much better than saying in the Sacre Coeur area.
