they mostly go after high price cars and take them to a chop shop, but they will steal any car, if they can get by with it.

Nope, the Acura Integra is the most stolen.  Takes up 6 spaces in the top 10 most stolen cars in the united states.  Primarily for the GS-R's b18c vtec engine which thieves tend to put in civics because they are significantly lighter.  I'm sure civic is high up there in the stolen car ranks though.
